Once again, as has been the tradition for over 25 years, faithful of our Ukrainian Orthodox Church gathered to spend the Labor Day Weekend at All Saints Camp.
Over 100 people participated in worship services, shared meals, canoe trip, volleyball and kickball games and Christian fellowship. They were joined by our clergy, who led the participants in prayer every morning and evening.
This year, Family Fest was honored to have His Beatitude Metropolitan Constantine join the participants on Saturday. After presiding at the evening Vesper service, which was beautifully sung by those attending, His Beatitude spoke about St. Job of Pochaiv and St. Mark of the Kyiv Monastery, whose relics he brought to St. Thomas Chapel for veneration by those present.
Metropolitan Constantine stayed for dinner and spoke to many of the participants during the evening, before returning to Pittsburgh. Those gathered, especially, the youth, were please and honored to have him share his time with them.
Sunday morning’s Divine Liturgy brought us closer to the Lord and each other when we receive Holy Communion.
