Who: All men and women interested in deepening their service to Christ and His Church!
What: Practical instruction on vocations, chanting, diaconal liturgics, and worship
Where: St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Woonsocket, RI

Schedule
2:00 - 3:00: Christ the “I AM”: an introduction to the Christian vocation
A presentation by Fr. Anthony, the UOC-USA Director of Vocations, on discerning and living the Christian life (to include opportunities for training and service in the UOC-USA). Vocations are not just for priests and monastics!
3:00 - 4:00: The Memorial Litya & Panakhida: theory and practice
A brief introduction to the purpose of prayers for the departed, followed by a rehearsal on chanting the Memorial Litya without a choir.
4:00 - 4:30: 9th Hour, Small Vespers
Chant the first service of the new liturgical day.
4:30 - 5:30: Session I - Pre-Diaconal Training
Rev. Dn. Anthony Szwez provides practical instruction to prospective deacons on how to serve the Divine Liturgy.
4:30 - 5:30: Session II - The Funeral Service: theory and practice
A review and explanation of the various parts of the funeral service, followed by a rehearsal on chanting the funeral service without a choir.
5:30 - 6:00: Break and light repast
6:00 - 8:30: Great Vigil
Chant or serve Great Vespers and Matins.
8:30 - 9:00: Refreshments, discussion, Q & A
