UOC of the USA Sends Representatives to IOCC Youth Conference

The Consistory Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry was pleased to send two representatives to the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) Youth Conference in Minneapolis, MN from August 3 - 9, 2014.

Olena Lymar of St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, IL and Christopher Holowko of Holy Ascension Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Maplewood, NJ spent eight days with fellow Orthodox youth from nine Orthodox jurisdictions. They gathered from across the United States to join in worship, learning and service. The participants had the opportunity to work with noted Orthodox speakers such as Fr. Anthony Coniaris, founder of the "Light and Life Publishing". They were equally busy outside of the conference site in service of hands-on Christian love in a variety of places and with various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
