St. Nicholas Pro-Cathedral in Lakewood, OH Suffers Vandalism Attacks
Earlier today, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel and the Consistory Office of the Church, was informed by Very Rev. Fr. Dennis Kristof, pastor of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Pro-Cathedral in Lakewood, OH that the parish temple was vandalized in the form of spray painted inappropriate terminology on the doors, bricks and shingles.
The church’s insurance company was formally informed in order to dispatch a representative as police continues to investigate: the police have suspects.
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA condemns all such actions and calls upon its faithful to remain calm and to pray for the repentance of the perpetrators. Pray for the pastor and faithful of St. Nicholas Pro-Cathedral, that Christ’s work would continue among them and that they would not despair, even in the face of hardship.
Once we have more information available, the faithful of the Church will be properly informed about the status of the repairs.
As you are able, please support them financially so that what has been damaged can be repaired or replaced.
You may forward your goodwill donations in order to assist St. Nicholas parish family to:
